Written by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, who also wrote the original BBC series, Blackadder Goes Forth is a stage adaptation of the BBC sitcom of the same name. The show is set in World War I and follows Captain Blackadder, Private Baldrick, and Lieutenant George St. Barleigh as they try to escape the trenches while under the command of General Melchett.
